'Dawson's Creek' Gets a Syndication Paddle Viewers who'd prefer not to wait for their lives to be over and who'd like to know right now what it will be, can tune in to TBS starting on Monday, March 31 for a series of "Dawson's Creek" marathons.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, TBS has purchased the show for $200,000 per episode, and to build anticipation for the "Dawson's Creek" finale that will air Wednesday, May 14 on The WB, will air the entire series in four-episode blocks. Viewers will be able to watch Joey Potter, Jen Lindley, Pacey Witter and Dawson Leary couple at an accelerated rate and then tune in to the last episode to find out who ends up with whom. TBS and The WB are sister channels under the AOL Time Warner umbrella.
After the show goes off the air, TBS will show episodes at 9 and 10 a.m. ET in time slots currently occupied by "Madlock." Not surprisingly, the network views this as an opportunity to change their morning demographics.
"We've gotten younger in primetime and the afternoon, so this will help do the same in the early part of the schedule," says Bill Cox, senior vice president of programming at TBS. Related Shows
